IT'S ABOUT THE

tc is a poet, author, and award-winning screenwriter.

a DIY rebel and champion of human freedoms, her work actively promotes listening, working in the community to engender greater autonomy and human dignity.

tc studied poetry at Harvard and Literature at Boston University but dropped out, getting involved in Music, TV & Radio in London, working as a singer/songwriter, presenter and journalist, and creating her own formats company with content for the likes of Channel 4 and Baby Cow. as the drive time presenter for the first all-female radio station, VIVA 963am, women’s issues were calling her to hold more space for conversations around female empowerment and intersectional feminism: she went on to work in domestic abuse as a case co-ordinator and in the refuges in North Somerset, raising awareness as honorary member of Soroptimist International, a Women’s organisation, and organising global events such as Created Forum.

as Poet in Residence for four years at a local Quaker School in the West Country where she now lives, her workshops encouraged queer and feminist texts and talks from outside speakers. a permanent 25-foot poem called ‘Freedom of You’ was created in collaboration with the students and art department. tc regularly teaches workshops and reads her poetry at local festivals like The Wedmore Arts Festival, Burnham Literary Festival, The Bath Literary Festival and Bristol’s Lyra Poetry Festival.
